Coastal House

A haven of tranquility and natural beauty rests atop a picturesque Californian cliff. This secluded sanctuary comprises three structures seamlessly integrated into the rugged terrain, offering breathtaking ocean vistas and unparalleled seclusion.

Crafted primarily from heavy timber, these structures serve as the core of the buildings and define their architectural essence. Each beam and post pays homage to the timber, with meticulous craftsmanship elevating raw materials into the very identity of the dwellings.

Innovative roof designs transcend traditional boundaries, blending indoor and outdoor spaces to provide respite from the elements while extending the living areas into the open air. Grounding the ethereal architecture are two sturdy concrete fireplaces, anchoring the structures to the earth and beckoning residents and guests alike to gather in communal warmth amidst the natural landscape.
